Privacy statement
This statement explains what data I process when you visit this website or get in touch, why, and what your rights are.
Who is responsible
Studio Bashiir is the trading name of Bashiir, a freelancer (kevytyrittäjä) in Helsinki, Finland. Send privacy questions to info@studiobashiir.com.
What data
- Through the contact form: name, email address, company, current website, topic and your message.
- If you email: your address and what you write.
- On every visit: technical data such as your IP address, browser and time, in the hosting logs.
Why, and on what basis
- To answer your question and prepare a proposal: steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To keep the site secure and available: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Who I share data with
I don't sell data. Only these services process anything, and only to make the site work:
- Cloudflare (hosting): serves the pages and keeps technical logs.
- Fontshare by Indian Type Foundry, delivered via BunnyCDN (EU): serves the fonts and sees your IP address to do so. No cookies are set.
- Resend: sends contact form messages on to my email. The form posts to my own domain; no Resend script loads in your browser.
- Cal.com: shows the calendar on the contact page, but only once you open it yourself. If you pick a time, Cal.com processes your name, email address and the appointment.
- My email provider, for the messages themselves.
Outside the EU
Cloudflare, Resend and Cal.com are US companies. Data only goes to the US under the safeguards these services provide for it, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
How long
Messages that don't lead to a project are deleted no later than 12 months after the last contact.
Client data is kept as long as the law requires, for example for bookkeeping.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data, restrict processing, object, and ask for your data to be transferred. Email info@studiobashiir.com; you'll get an answer within a month.
A complaint
You can complain to the Finnish supervisory authority (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto) or the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. Feel free to contact me first; that's usually quicker.
